Short Term Programs

 

WVU Short Term Programs provide students with the opportunity to study abroad during the summer and university breaks instead of a full Fall/Spring semester. Students can choose between WVU Faculty-led Programs or WVU Affiliated Programs during the summer.

WVU Faculty-led Programs

On Faculty-led programs student earn WVU Academic Credit abroad under the instruction of WVU faculty. These programs range from 1-12 weeks, and typically take place over Spring or Summer Breaks. WVU offers over 50 short term programs annually, in a variety of different subjects and locations.

WVU Affiliated Summer Programs

These programs are offered by study abroad organizations that have been vetted and approved by WVU. They vary in length, location, and content which gives students ample opportunity to find a program that meets their unique needs. All programs in this group earn course credit through the WVU Transient Process for Study Abroad. Students apply through the Ed Abroad Advising Request and have the support of a dedicated Education Abroad Coordinator. Students must be approved by the WVU Education Abroad office before enrolling into the affiliated program.
