Education Abroad at West Virginia University is part of the Office of Global Affairs.
Annually, WVU sends nearly 1,000 students abroad, mostly through faculty-led programs.
This page contains resources for faculty to learn more about the processes and best-practices
for leading education abroad programs.
Faculty must submit a new program proposal annually for review in advance of program promotion. The proposal process includes academic, logistical, and financial reviews to ensure quality programming that meets students' needs. Programs will be provided a break-even budget, developed by the Office of Global Affairs, with a minimum of two faculty or chaperone leaders and 10 student participants. Information on new and returning faculty-led program proposals can be found here.
